Florida Divorce Laws | Child Support

Florida

Child support guidelines in Florida are based on the paying parent’s income, the standard of living before divorce, the child’s needs, and more. The monthly support amount can be reduced or increased based on a few factors. Some of these factors include, but are not limited to: extraordinary health care expenses, if the paying parent’s income fluctuates seasonally, if the child earns income by themselves, the age of the child, or if the child support totals 55% or more of the paying parent’s income.
