One of this summer’s most talked about break ups is without question Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. We learned about the couple’s break up in late July when US Weekly published photos of KStew and director Rupert Sanders together in compromising positions. Since then, Stewart and Pattinson have not been able to escape from media scrutiny. Although there were rumors that Pattinson was considering reconciling with girlfriend of 3 years, Stewart, it seems as if the two have decided to part their separate ways and have not made any public appearances together.
According to gossip sites such as PerezHilton and TMZ, the two sites report that Pattinson is hoping to relocate back to his hometown in England. A source revealed, “Robert is thinking long and hard about returning to London. He never fell in love with Los Angeles and has always longed for home. When Kristen was shooting Snow White and the Huntsman in London, he made his excuses to visit her as much as he could – he missed it so much.” Could the damage that KStew caused Pattinson to long for his support system back home? Well, possibly not too much damage since Pattinson has been spotted around town getting close to popstar Katy Perry.
Although Kristen Stewart has been trying to keep a low-profile, it seems like her luck has just ran out because it was been reported that KStew’s mother, Jules Stewart, has decided to file for divorce from her husband, John Stewart. The couple was married for 27 years, but according to legal documents the two have been separated since June 15, 2010. Jules filed the divorce papers herself without a lawyer on August 17, 2012. Both of KStew’s parents work in the film industry; her mother is a writer and director, while her father is a television producer and stage manager.
Psychological effects of divorce in children are very common among younger children. As a matter of fact our friends over at ProfessorChild.com have done extensive work studying the effect of divorce and children. Although Stewart is clearly more mature and older, we wonder at what extent this may have towards her already fragile emotional state.
With the recent scandal, Stewart has been under a lot of emotional distress. Moreover, with her parents getting divorced and Stewart in a state of turmoil, the effects of the parents divorce could psychologically affect her for the worse. It is evident that Kristen Stewart’s break up with her 3 year boyfriend Pattinson affected her career decisions as she chose to not show up to her own premier, On The Road. Moreover, the recent break of the Twilight starlet couple has also disrupted the Twilight film tour. Will KStew lose her title as the highest paid actress in Hollywood? Someone did say it’s lonely at the top.
